Commission for the Sacramento International Airport. Using a flock of endangered sandhill cranes, that migrate through the Pacific Flyway where the airport is located as a visual metaphor, the installation playfully and conceptually mimics the requisite x-ray scanning of baggage in this International Baggage Claim area while acting as a subtle way-finding device via the composition of imagery and the undulating movement created by the LED backlighting program.
